“Ever since we started to receive power, we no longer have to use oil lamps or kerosene lanterns for lighting. I bought a new television after my home was electrified. Now we can watch television and charge our mobile at home. My children are the happiest because they can now study under bright light. Earlier, they would crowd around the small lamp whose light was never enough and left them groping for everything. Although we have the lights, we have yet to find a solution to cooking. Firewood is still the only source of energy for cooking here.”
